Performance Settings

Performance settings control how VCam uses your system hardware. Use them to select processors or rerun calibration.

Hardware Acceleration

Hardware Acceleration controls which processor VCam uses for video processing.

When Automatic is enabled, VCam selects the least-used compatible graphics processor.

To choose processors manually:

  1. Disable Automatic.
  2. Select a processor under Primary.
  3. Select another available processor under Secondary.

The available choices depend on your computer. VCam supports CPUs, GPUs and compatible Intel NPUs.

An Intel NPU is designed for efficient AI processing. Choosing it can move compatible work away from the CPU and GPU. This leaves more system capacity for your meeting app or other software.

Calibration

Calibration optimizes VCam for your system. VCam runs this process when the app is installed or updated.

Select Start Calibration to run the process again.

Opening Settings

Select Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar in VCam.

The Settings window is divided into App and Advanced sections. Select a page on the left side of the Settings window to display its options.
