Camera Sources and Camera Settings

In the Camera tab, you'll be able to choose which camera VCam will use, adjust quality and performance settings and also access advanced camera features like Auto Framing and Enhanced Lighting.

Choosing your Camera

VCam automatically detects your connected camera. If you have multiple cameras or device, you can choose which one you want to use by through Camera drop-down.

If your camera is disconnected or isn’t detected, click the Refresh button to restore your webcam’s signal. If the issue persists, check if other applications are not currently using the same device you’ve selected.

Camera Settings and Features

Maximum Resolution

Choose the highest resolution selected VCam will output, or the next best resolution supported by the application you're using it with.

Higher resolutions will use more system resources.

Background Removal Mode

Choose if you prefer VCam to use a background removal model that's optimized for performance, quality or balanced.

Maximum FPS

VCam can output at 15 or 30 FPS. 30 FPS will make your video feed look smoother but similarly with resolution, a higher framerate will use more system resources.

Camera Features

Remove Chair - VCam’s background removal AI also allows you to filter out or keep the chair from your camera
