Why is mirrored or flipped in Google Meet / Zoom / etc.?

Most video conferencing apps display a mirrored or flipped preview of the camera input. It's designed this way to provide a mirror-like representation for the user.

While Google Meet mirrors your camera feed, you can refer to's display to check how others see you.

Rest assured, your video feed will appear correctly oriented, not mirrored, to other participants during a video call. Any logos and backgrounds you add in will display the right way around for them as well.

No. strictly processes video from your selected camera. It does not handle or transmit audio in any capacity.
