How does Business billing work?

What is the Business plan?

Our Business plan is a flexible and pay-as-you-go plan, so you only pay for the seats you're actually using between renewals. When someone joins or leaves mid-term on an annual plan, we calculate a prorated charge or credit based on how many days remain until your renewal, and invoice it each month.

For example, if your subscription runs from 4th January, 2025 to 4th January, 2026, and you add five members on the 5th July, 2025 (halfway through the year), you'll be charged 50% of the annual seat cost$24 instead of $48 — on the 4th August, 2025. At renewal, you'll pay the full amount for all active seats.

Spreading out these adjustments each month ensures smoother billing and helps avoid unexpectedly large invoices at the end of the year.

What happens if I receive a credit?

If you remove members during your subscription period, you'll be credited an amount equal to the number of days remaining until your renewal. This credit will be applied as a discount to any future invoices. We are unable to refund unused credit at this time.

I'd prefer predictable costs. What options are there?

The Enterprise plan offers a prepaid, fixed-seat model: you pay upfront for a set number of seats, meaning no monthly billing surprises. If you're interested, contact our support team for more details.
